Beware of falsified passports

We have recently received reports of workers claiming to be
Portuguese who are using false identity documents.

They are actually from Brazil and have no right to work in the EU. We draw your attention to the serious consequences of employing workers with false passports. Workers from Romania are also included in the risk group (often Moldovan citizens use false passports). As a general rule, Dutch regulations are ruthless for employers who have not done their due diligence in verifying identity. The recommended course of action is to accurately verify the identity of the passport holder, for which specialised information on the procedures for issuing such documents and on migration law is often needed.
